Get To Know Your Guide
Frankie was born and raised in the heart of South Texas, where wide-open skies, coastal waters, and endless brush country shaped his childhood. From an early age, he spent every chance he could outdoors—hunting, fishing, and learning the rhythms of the land and sea. The outdoors wasn’t just a pastime; it became the foundation of who he is.
After high school, Frankie joined the United States Marine Corps. He proudly served his country through two overseas deployments, where he developed the grit, discipline, and determination that still drive him today. When his time in the Marines came to an end, his desire to serve others carried on. Frankie went on to become a paramedic and flight paramedic, dedicating six years to helping his community in their most critical moments.
But no matter where life took him, the pull of the outdoors never faded. The water, the wind, and the sight of a tailing redfish always brought him back home. That passion ultimately led him to create Unbothered Outdoors, where he now shares the same adventures that shaped his life with others.
As the owner and operator, Frankie specializes in guided fly fishing, sight casting, and redfish trips in the legendary Lower Laguna Madre. Whether it’s stalking shallow flats at sunrise, poling quietly through glassy waters on his East Cape Evo X, or watching a redfish explode on a fly, he’s committed to giving every guest not just a trip—but an unforgettable outdoor experience.
For Frankie, Unbothered Outdoors is more than a business—it’s a way to share the freedom, peace, and raw excitement of the outdoors with anyone who steps on his skiff.
